Business and Relaxation Meet at the Managers' Team Building 2018
Taking a break from managing the busy offices of the company, BD BPO’s managers managed to have fun instead in the Managers’ Team Building conducted last April 26-30, 2018 at the Matabungkay Beach Hotel in Lian, Batangas and in Tagaytay City. The event, headed by the President/CEO Bernie John Baltasar himself, served as a summer escapade to the hardworking managers, and also as a work immersion to further improve their managerial skills.
The first part of the Team Building was conducted in the scenic Matabungkay Beach Hotel in Batangas. The attendees, which include the IT, Marketing, Operations and QA managers and the team leaders for the call center operations arrived at the venue on the 27th of April and were greeted with breakfast upon arrival. Because it was on the beach, fun under the sun will always be expected. And the attendees certainly had their fun, banana boat riding and eating Filipino delicacies for lunch on a raft. After a casual, relaxing morning, it was time to get down to business. A stragetic planning for the call center operations of BD BPO and the SweldoMo presentation for the Matabungkay Beach Hotel by BD BPO’s IT department were conducted. The fruitful day ended with a dinner under the stars and by the beach.
It was hard to say goodbye, but the group photos the team took to keep as remembrance made it bearable to leave. After that, the group headed to the windy city of Tagaytay and were on top of the world at the People’s Park in the Sky. And it wouldn’t be Tagaytay if you wouldn’t try to fly, or at least, try the zip line. After all that fun, it was time to say good night and the attendees checked into Kasa Luntian. The next day was all fun and games as everyone went to Sky Ranch and then had a delectable dinner at Diner’s Bulalo Restaurant. The last day in Tagaytay was spent basking under the sun in the Kasa Luntian swimming pool. The group then went to Rowena’s Pasalubong and Restaurant for an out of town trip wouldn’t be complete without buying a variety of pasalubong to everyone you love. And as good as the trip was, it was time to go home.
The team building was indeed a success, not only giving the team a time to put a pause on the stress and challenges of being a leader and give the managers a little bit of fun. It was also a chance to get ideas on how to improve their leadership skills. The trip also showed that the bond and camaraderie of the leaders was as strong as ever, making the company feel less of a workplace and more of a home.
