BD BPO’s Two Flagship Products Waving High at Matabungkay

Four months after BD BPO Solutions, Inc. went to Matabungkay Beach Hotel in Lian, Batangas, BD BPO’s BD Software department and its team found its way back to the scenic hotel last August 16-18, 2018. This time, the team not only brought with them one revolutionary product, but two.

After initially presenting SweldoMo to the Matabungkay personnel last April, the team behind SweldoMo poured all their time and effort into perfecting the automated payroll and Human Resource management system. Now, after the improving the system, the IT Manager of SweldoMo, Ronnie Anzano, SweldoMo’s developer, Earl Julius Empic, and SweldoMo’s CEO himself, Mr. Bernie John Baltasar presented to Matabungkay’s personnel. Those in attendance were Ms. Jennylyn Pena – HRD Manager, Ms. Mary Fay Colon – Operations Manager, Mr. Dave Banaag – Security Supervisor, Ms. Aida Javier – Accounting Manager, Ms. Marsha Cebeda – FO Supervisor, Ms. Florelyn Mendoza and Ms. Emy Gonzales - Accounting Department, Ms. Myca Javier – Company Nurse/HR Assistant, Mr. Andy Mariscotes – General Manager, Maribeth Consuelo Dar – Sales and Marketing Director, and Ma. Cecilia Leviste Antonio – Vice President, COO. The presentations went by smoothly and focused on the advancement of the system from its previous version, all its benefits and how much it can help the hotel and its employees.

Aside from SweldoMo, the BD Software team also introduced a new product specifically designed to help in the hospitality business. Hotel Pilipinas is a hotel reservation and booking system that revolutionizes how customers can get the hotel rooms they want. The Hotel Pilipinas presentation was carried out by BD Software’s Marketing Manager, Mr. William Añonuevo, Mr. Ronnie Anzano and Mr. Bernie John Baltasar.

The twelve hour ride from the comforts of the BD BPO office to the vast, wonderful place of Matabungkay was indeed long, but was truly worth it; to both businesses, and the employees. The BD Software team found themselves in no less than paradise, and the employees of Matabungkay has received two cloud-based and stand alone systems that will make payroll process easier, and will get them more customers in the future.

The executives of both Matabungkay and BD BPO were all smiles as they discussed and ultimately signed an engagement proposal, solidifying a bond between the two companies. This also made Matabungkay part of BD BPO’s growing community that are the trailblazers in automation and innovation.

Truly a successful trip, BD BPO is now one step closer into paving the way for businesses, big or small, to embrace technology and all the innovation and ease it has to offer.

Why There is a Growing Demand For Call Center Agents in the Country

Twenty-six years after the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry started in the Philippines, the industry has become one of the major contributor in the country’s annual GDP or Gross Domestic Product. Even with this enormous and continuous growth, the industry still faces many misconceptions. But still, there is no denying the contribution of the BPO industry to both the economy and the employment of innumerable Filipinos in need. You may ask why the industry this big in the country and why are Filipinos so in demand as call center agents. Here are some of the reasons why it really is fitting that the Philippines was declared as the world’s BPO capital. English Matters. Although the English language is widely spoken all over the world, foreign BDO companies still gravitate towards the Philippine BDO industry. This is because Filipinos do not have a distinct accent when speaking in English. We are also confident in speaking the language. This is a good selling point for foreign investors because it means agent-customer relations will be well with less miscommunication. The Power of Man. There is no question about the Filipinos’ talent, commitment to their work and overall employability. The skills we possess, not only our English proficiency is attractive to foreign BPO companies. Aside from this, our work ethic and willingness in working with a team gives us an edge against competitors. Legit Filipino Values. Working in a call center company means having to deal with different types of people and culture. To some, this will be a little too much. But Filipinos have a long history of adaptability and hospitability. These traits, among many others Filipinos naturally possess are traits that work well in customer service. These also assure that every call and transaction will be a favourable experience for the customers and will have a positive impact to the company. Money Talks. The cost of living and operating in the Philippines is much lower than in Western countries. Offshore outsourcing saves money operating in this country for almost 30 to 60%. BPO companies also take advantage of the fact that the labor cost in the Philippines is lower than most countries. Time is money. So, aside from the operation costs, BPO companies also save in terms of their time investment. Because of the skills Filipino employees already have, the time and money spent on training can be lessened. This gives the company more resources to further expand and improve the company.
